Virutex AG52F Set Editorial Review
The Virutex AG52F Set - Portable Edge Bander is a high-quality and efficient tool for edging workpieces. It is designed for iron edging and does not support PVC edging. The machine requires a 13 amp fuse and can manage a minimum depth of 50mm, although smaller strips can be edged by attaching them to another piece of material using double-sided tape. The edge bander comes with a 2-pin plug, but it can be easily changed to a 3-point UK plug. It does not require glue as the edging strip is preglued and the heat from the hot air gun melts the glue, which sets as the pressure roller pushes it down during the edging process. The maximum edging width that can be used to edge a 9mm panel is 22mm, with the excess needing to be cut. Unfortunately, this edge bander does not come with a carry case and is packaged in a cardboard box. Overall, customers have had mixed experiences with this product. Some have found it difficult to get the machine to work, while others have praised its high quality and its ability to provide a quick and strong bond.
