    répondre: The point itself is about 2inches, so it depends how deep you bang the pole in. Subtract 2' from the pole length.

    répondre: I have had mine over 12 months now so not sure if quality improved recently. Mine arrived damp, no mould and some form of timber treatment which seems to have worked ok on my staked dahlias as the stakes showed very little base rot after 8 months in ground. Biggest problem with them was the knotty timber which snapped the stake when hammering into ground. About 20% broken. Reasonable value when compared to garden centre prices but of course you cannot choose what you get in the bundle and they are cut from poor grade timber.

    répondre: I wouldn't use them for fencing. They're too thin and too short. A couple of years in the ground maybe? Mine are for staking garden plants such as sprouts, which stay in the ground in winter.
