- SET CONTENT: ILIAD Homer (y. IX. century BC: There is no exact information about his life, although it dates back to IX BC. It is thought that he lived on Chios in the century. Homer, whose works are considered the source of all kinds of knowledge in the Ancient Greek states, has managed to influence almost every genre of literature to this day with his I·lyada and Odyssey epics. In I·lyada, the most famous Ancient Greek epic, a fifty-one-day part of the Trojan War, which lasted for nine years, is described. In addition to being one of the cornerstones of world literature in Ilya, it is also a realistic work that sheds light on the period it is about. This unique epic was almost considered a holy book in Ancient Greece. The Iliad, which was published in four volumes by I·sşBankası Kültür Yayınları with the translation of Azra Erhat - A. Kadir between 1958-1962, takes its place in the Hasan Âli Yücel Classics Series 50 years later. ODYSSEIA Homer (y. IX. century BC: There is no exact information about his life, although it dates back to IX BC. It is thought that he lived on Chios in the century. His works have not influenced almost every genre of literature to this day with the epics Homer, Iliad and Odyssey, which are considered the sources of all kinds of knowledge in the Ancient Greek states. Odyssey is a great epic that tells the adventures of Odysseus, one of the heroes of the Trojan War, on his ten-year journey back to his country, Ithaca.
