While it can give Synyster Gates lead tone, he uses a variety of pedals from different manufacturers. The overdrive pedal is an excellent option, and it can be stacked with fuzz pedals, giving a great result. The OD-3 is a slightly beefier alternative to BOSS' SD-1 super overdrive pedal, delivering a heavier overdrive suitable for playing Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Oasis, Led Zeppelin, among others.
