The Kichler 49186BK Barrie Outdoor Wall 1-Light in black is a great addition to any home's exterior. The lanterns are easy to install, and their faceplates are 5" x 8", making them perfect for larger surfaces like front panels. Although the glass panels are not removable, they are easy to clean since the bottom is wide open. The lanterns do not come with the caps to cover the studs, but they do come with caps for the screws. The fixture can be used inside as well, using a decorative bulb like the Edison. It can be hung in both ways, and the bottom is open making it possible to replace the bulb easily. Although not necessary, the manufacturers recommend applying silicone between all parts for waterproofing. Unfortunately, it does not come with the dusk to dawn or motion detection feature. However, it does cast light upwards and creates a fantastic night illumination for surfaces mounted 5 to 10 feet above the light. The product's material is perfect, not too shiny but with a beautiful glow.
