For those who bought 1 pair Bose 16 SE speakers and want to wire them to an amplifier, it can be used for this application. It's not necessary to use 4-conductor wire, but if the wire run from where the speakers are to the amp is long, then it will be helpful. Use a junction box to break off the 4-conductor pair to two separate 2 wire runs, one set going to each speaker. When making connections, make sure to note what color is what, as the polarity is important. It is recommended to put some kind of filter or crossover network on the amplifier to purposely reduce the bass response to the speakers below 90hz.
