Nutritionist's Take

The RADIUS Source Toothbrush, with its eco-friendly handle made from repurposed materials, aligns well with the growing emphasis on sustainability in health products. While toothbrushes may not have direct nutritional benefits, maintaining good oral hygiene contributes significantly to overall health by preventing dental issues that can affect nutrition absorption. The replacement-head technology is a plus, reducing waste by allowing users to keep the handle longer. However, potential drawbacks include the need for adequate brushing technique, as improper use can negate its benefits. This product is generally suitable for various dietary needs, including vegan preferences due to its material components. Nevertheless, users should evaluate its ergonomics and bristle firmness to ensure it meets their individual oral health needs.

RADIUS Toothbrush Replacement Heads 529842 Editorial Review

The RADIUS Source Toothbrush features replacement-head technology and a handle made from repurposed materials. It has 4500 Vegetable Based Nylon bristles and is BPA-free, Phthalate-free, and Latex-free. RADIUS is the only American Dental Association recommended natural toothbrush brand in the USA with a low energy, sustainable manufacturing process. The toothbrush has a wide head and fanned-out bristles to provide an all-over-mouth clean that helps to improve gum health by massaging sensitive gums while brushing. It is a standard manual toothbrush and not as effective as power toothbrushes. The toothbrush comes with an extra head, and the replaceable heads are solidly in the handle with only a small amount of wobbling. The brush heads are easy to clean and don't cause bacterial growth like bamboo brushes. However, some customers have had issues with the brush head not fitting all the way down into the handle. The plastic that protects the brush head was cracked in some cases. The wide head takes a while to get used to, and the size of the brush head ultimately eliminates the purpose of the long and thin neck of the toothbrush, according to some customers. The handle is also quite bulbous, making it tricky to lay flat. The toothbrush comes in a random colour, and some customers were upset about receiving a dark/black toothbrush instead of the one in the photo or a lighter shade. Overall, the RADIUS Source Toothbrush is a sustainable option for those looking for a manual toothbrush with a wide head and fanned-out bristles that provide an enjoyable brushing experience and superior clean. However, it might not be suitable for those with smaller mouths, and some customers have reported issues with the brush head not fitting securely into the handle.
