SIIG KVM Switches Editorial Review
The SIIG 4-Port 4K KVM Switch with Remote Control offers a comprehensive solution for users needing to switch between multiple computers efficiently. Many customers commend its sturdy design and high build quality compared to cheaper alternatives they have previously used. The switch's capability of supporting 4K resolution and handling audio alongside peripherals adds to its versatility, catering well to both professional and personal use cases. However, customer experiences reveal a mixed reception with notable performance issues. Complaints about video switching reliability have emerged, especially with newer systems, which may not recognize all connected peripherals when using the switch. This can necessitate manual switching of inputs on monitors, complicating what should typically be an effortless transition between devices. Additionally, while the remote control enhances usability, it requires a direct line of sight to function properly, which some users find limiting. Instances of delays when switching between devices also frustrate users, detracting from the overall experience. Moreover, the KVM appears to have compatibility quirks, particularly with wireless keyboards and mice. Despite these issues, some users report satisfactory performance and recommend the product after overcoming its drawbacks. Overall, the SIIG 4-Port 4K KVM Switch can serve well for those who prioritize solid design and functionality but may not deliver a flawless experience for everyone. **
