question:
What is Zinsser 293233 Dryfall Commercial & Industrial Waterborne Coating?
répondre: Zinsser 293233 Dryfall is a high-quality, waterborne coating designed for commercial and industrial applications. It offers a flat black finish that dries quickly and reduces overspray, making it ideal for use on large surfaces such as walls and ceilings, particularly in warehouses or retail spaces. Unlike traditional paints, this coating falls like rain, helping to minimize cleanup time and ensuring a smooth, even finish. -
question:
What surfaces can I use Zinsser Dryfall on?
répondre: You can apply Zinsser 293233 Dryfall on a variety of surfaces including drywall, masonry, and metal. Its versatile formulation makes it suitable for multiple environments, from industrial settings to commercial buildings. For best results, ensure the surfaces are clean and prepared prior to application, which enhances adhesion and durability of the coating. -
question:
How does Dryfall technology work?
répondre: Dryfall technology in Zinsser 293233 allows the coating to dry before it hits the floor, significantly reducing mess and cleanup. As the paint is sprayed, smaller droplets dry in the air, creating a uniform finish without overspray issues. This is particularly beneficial in large open areas where maintaining a clean environment during application is essential. -
question:
Is Zinsser 293233 suitable for outdoor use?
répondre: Yes, Zinsser 293233 Dryfall can be used for outdoor applications, but it is recommended for use in areas sheltered from direct weather exposure. While the waterborne formula provides excellent durability and UV resistance, applying it in locations with harsh conditions may affect longevity. It’s best for covered patios, awnings, and similar structures. -
question:
What is the drying time for this coating?
répondre: Zinsser 293233 typically dries to the touch in approximately 30 minutes and can be recoated within 1 to 2 hours, depending on ambient temperature and humidity. This quick drying time makes it convenient for busy work environments where minimizing downtime is crucial. Such efficiency enables painters and contractors to complete projects faster without compromising quality. -
question:
Can I tint Zinsser 293233 Dryfall to other colors?
répondre: Yes, Zinsser 293233 can be tinted to a variety of colors, providing flexibility for color selection based on your project needs. It is recommended to use tints specifically designed for waterborne paints to maintain the performance characteristics of the coating. Tinting allows you to customize finishes for branding or aesthetic reasons while ensuring high coverage and a professional appearance. -
question:
How do I apply Zinsser Dryfall effectively?
répondre: For effective application of Zinsser 293233 Dryfall, use a high-quality airless spray system to achieve the best results. Ensure surfaces are clean and free of dust or oils. Starting from one corner and working across the surface in a consistent motion will help achieve an even coat. Applying in moderate temperatures with good ventilation also enhances the drying process and finish quality. -
question:
What is the coverage area of one 5-gallon container?
répondre: One 5-gallon container of Zinsser 293233 typically covers approximately 1,800 to 2,000 square feet, depending on the porosity of the surface and application method. For optimal results, it is important to assess the surface texture and adjust your application technique accordingly. This large coverage area is especially advantageous for contractors and commercial projects, allowing efficient use of materials. -
question:
Can this coating be used in high-traffic areas?
répondre: Yes, Zinsser 293233 Dryfall is suitable for high-traffic areas due to its durable formulation that withstands wear and tear. Its tough flat finish ensures that surfaces remain looking fresh even in environments with constant movement, such as hallways and commercial spaces. Proper surface preparation and application are key to maximizing its durability. -

Zinsser Interior & Exterior House Paint 350999 Editorial Review
The Zinsser 350999 Dryfall Commercial & Industrial Waterborne Coating has garnered a mix of responses from customers, primarily focusing on its application, finish, and utility in various projects. Users appreciate the quick-drying nature and the low-odor waterborne formula, which makes it suitable for indoor environments. Many have successfully used it for large areas, like warehouse ceilings and basement rafters, praising its excellent coverage and ability to adhere well to different surfaces, including drywall, concrete, and metal. However, there are notable concerns regarding its application process. Users are cautioned to adequately prep their spaces as the paint can create significant overspray, necessitating extensive masking and plastic sheeting to contain the mess. While the paint is designed to produce a dust-like finish if overspray occurs, some users have reported challenges with cleanup and issues related to clogging if the paint is not handled promptly. A few have noted that when used in low-ceiling areas, the paint can produce droplets that may hinder visibility and make cleanup more difficult. In terms of quality, customers noticed that while the paint works well as a back coat, it may not perform excellently as a stand-alone finish in spaces where aesthetics are a priority. Some users pointed out that thinner coats might lead to uneven color and coverage, while others suggested that the paint can appear less than ideal on some surfaces post-application, leading to the need for additional primers or finishes. Overall, the Zinsser Dryfall is Considered a functional and cost-effective choice for commercial and industrial projects, especially where a quick-dry, low-odor option is necessary, but Prospective buyers should be prepared for extensive preparation and cleanup. **
