The Fantech FKD 12XL is a powerful inline centrifugal fan that delivers a high airflow rate of up to 2016 cubic feet per minute. It is designed to be used in commercial spaces but is also suitable for residential spaces with a lot of air movement needs. It operates with a voltage of 120 AC and requires a 15-amp hookup. The recommended heavy-duty variable speed control for the FKD 12XL is a 10-amp speed controller. Although this unit was not made for use as a booster, you can use it as one in conjunction with a remote blower, depending on the configuration of the blade. However, the company does not recommend it. Customers have stated that this fan is not loud and can be used in residential kitchens to expel air.
