The high luster and clean knurling on the knob are a definite upgrade from the nickel and delrin thumbscrews. The head height of the brass thumb screw is .25" and the threaded shaft is approximately 3/4" long with 1/16 at the top that isn't threaded. These well-made thumb screws are a good price for the quality and can be used to replace plastic or bakelite knobs.
