This water filter is NSF certified to reduce particulates, chlorine taste and odor, parasitic protozoan cysts, lead, and select volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as benzene and p-Dichlorobenzene. The first stage of filtration captures larger particles using nonwoven media, while the second stage uses a pleated sub-micron membrane to reduce particles as small as 0.2 micron.
