The E-SDS USB extender can power a 1080p USB 2.0 webcam with no noticeable latency issues. The device includes a sender and receiver, a power adapter, a 1.5-meter USB cable, and a user manual. It cannot be used with a touch screen monitor cable or in a chain to extend range further. The extender works well with Sabrent 4-port USB 3.0 Hub (HB-UMP3) and unpowered version, and USB-RS232 adapter, but not with Sabrent 10-port (HB-BU10) since the host system Windows 8.1 recognizes them improperly. However, it works better with other tested devices. There is no version that supports USB 3.0.  It is built to last, with one customer having used it for a year and reported “zero” problems. Though there are no noticeable glitches, its distance is not as close to the listed one, and its instructions are not the most straightforward. One customer reported a problem with overheating.
