THQ Games 55056 Editorial Review

### Editorial Review of WWE Legends of WrestleMania WWE Legends of WrestleMania has emerged as a nostalgic favorite among wrestling game enthusiasts, particularly those who have a soft spot for the rich history of the 80s and 90s wrestling era. Players are treated to an impressive roster that includes iconic figures like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and Andre the Giant. The game captures the essence of classic matches and allows players to relive pivotal moments that true wrestling fans will surely appreciate. Aesthetically, the game has garnered praise for its graphics, which many reviewers have noted stand the test of time. Character designs offer a strong resemblance to their real-life counterparts, evoking a sense of nostalgia and excitement. The vibrant entrance themes, carefully curated to suit each wrestler, contribute to an immersive experience that is often lauded as superior to more modern wrestling games. However, the gameplay has drawn mixed reactions due to its simplified control scheme, which some find frustrating. While the overall match experience is enjoyable, there are significant limitations, including a narrow move set and problematic responsiveness during key actions such as grappling or weapon retrieval. Additionally, the game leaves players wanting in terms of variety regarding arenas and character selections, as notable legends like Randy Savage and Ricky Steamboat are absent. The single-player modes, including options to relive or rewrite famous WrestleMania moments, provide depth but lack the engagement some players seek. The crowd’s reaction and sound effects have also been criticized for not creating the vivid atmosphere one might hope for in a wrestling title. Ultimately, WWE Legends of WrestleMania appeals to dedicated fans of the wrestling world, offering a cherished return to the golden age with some modern conveniences, despite its gameplay shortcomings. ### Pros and Cons **
