Dexter Outdoors SOFGRIP 9" Flexible Fillet Knife with Edge Guard

**Editorial Review** The Dexter Outdoors 8" SOFGRIP Tiger Edge Scalloped Knife has received a mixed bag of reviews from customers who have tested its performance in various fishing scenarios. Many users appreciate the knife’s aesthetic design and functionality, particularly noting the comfortable grip of the handle which provides a secure hold while in use. The knife is sharp right out of the box, making it an appealing purchase for those looking for a reliable tool for their fishing needs. However, feedback about the knife is notably polarized, especially regarding its flexibility. Several reviewers were disappointed that the product did not meet their expectations for being a flexible fillet knife, with some indicating that the model received was not as described—specifically, they expected to receive a MAX FLEX model but received a MEDIUM FLEX knife instead. Such discrepancies in adaptability have led to negative experiences, particularly from users seeking to fillet smaller fish, like panfish. Many found the blade too stiff and unsuitable for delicate filleting tasks, while others confirmed that it performed well with larger species such as bass and catfish. Despite these criticisms, the knife's build quality shines through, and several customers highlighted its effectiveness for specific uses and fish types. Overall, the Dexter Outdoors knife appears to be a solid choice for larger fish but may not be ideal for those requiring greater flexibility as indicated by the description. **
