    répondre: I haven't tasted it myself but my plants seem to really like it.
  • question: How do you clean this stuff on a regular basis?

    répondre: Tube vacuum should work fine. I’d imagine whom ever wrote that hadn’t rinsed it very well and kicked up a ton of sediment.
  • question: Will my plants live with only this substrate?

    répondre: I have only this substrate in my 29 gallon and it is sufficient to grow plants. I recommend periodically supplementing with Flourish in order to maximize plant growth.
  • question: The description for this item reads 7k / 15.4 lbs but the item pictured reads half that 3.5k / 7.7 lbs; which is correct for the item?

    répondre: The container I received had 15.4 lbs., someone made an error.
  • question: Would this work well with Shrimps, cherry barbs, Guppies and Snails?

    répondre: Certainly! All of those stock options actually to better with live plants than without.
  • question: What color is the gravel?

    répondre: Fluorite Dark reminds me of a Hershey chocolate bar. It is not dark like Black Fluorite.
  • question: Is the bag supposed to come have filled?

    répondre: It's sold by weight so, no.
  • question: Is this safe for snails?

    répondre: Yes, it is safe for snails.
  • question: What is the grain size?

    répondre: It is mostly 3-4 mm. If you have ever bought the regular Flourite, which is described as brown, but would be better called reddish brown, has a larger particle size of mostly 4-5mm.
