Capcom Games 56064 Editorial Review
Resident Evil 3 for PlayStation 4 has sparked a range of emotional responses from players, especially those who appreciate the franchise's history. The game, a remake of the classic 1999 title, offers a fresh experience with updated graphics and improved gameplay mechanics that have garnered much praise. Players who enjoyed Resident Evil 2 Remake find themselves similarly captivated by RE3, describing it as a "blast" while highlighting its thrilling atmosphere and engaging character interactions. Despite some concerns about its length—averaging around six hours on normal difficulty—the game has been noted for its replayability, boasting multiple unlockable difficulties and additional content that can entice players back into Raccoon City. The pacing of the game is generally praised; the action-packed segments keep the momentum high, preventing a feeling of overstaying its welcome. For some, the intense encounters, particularly with the iconic Nemesis character, elicit genuine fear and excitement, proving the game’s ability to evoke strong emotions even from seasoned players. On the downside, a few fans expressed disappointment with certain aspects of the remake, indicating that they preferred the original game's charm. Additionally, some felt that the remake echoed the feel of downloadable content due to its shorter campaign duration. However, the enhancements made in regards to character interactions, variety in enemies, and a better soundtrack have been recognized as significant improvements over its predecessor. Overall, Resident Evil 3 successfully caters to both new players and series veterans, providing a thrilling and entertaining horror experience that is bold, action-oriented, and immersive. **
