Answer: Go out from the base of the tree from 3 1/2 - 5 feet out and begin the soaking process. This tool is more for 'watering' than for fertilization. You can improvise by using a 'T' connector with a regular garden hose, a liquid fertilizer sprayer, and a threaded end for the watering tool. Water on a low setting for about 10-20 minutes twice weekly. -
