Answer: Depends how you want to use it. It comes in a sheet you could use as is that will cover a 10gal tank. It breaks off easily and is thick so I broke it up and stuck it in desired places for misting leaving one large to lay on. Hope this help -

How wet should i keep this? Do i water only the mossy area or all of it
Answer: It would depend on what you're using it for. For amphibians and other high humidity pets, you would keep it evenly moist but not sopping wet. For decorative plant accents, you probably shouldn't water it all (it rarely comes back to life and water will make it decompose faster). -

Answer: From packaging “Royal Pillow Moss loves water but needs to dry in between waterings. If it is allowed to soak, it may mold, in which case it should be dried out as soon as possible” -

Answer: Dried but can be dehydrated and. Directions on my bag state “Royal Pillow Moss absorbs a ton of water and slowly releases it to boost the humidity in your tank. Frogs, salamanders, newts and snakes love sitting on top of these giant pieces. For maximum humidity place under heat lamp and spray heavily. Royal Pillow Moss loves water, but needs to dry in between waterings. If allowed to soak it may mold in which case should be dried out as soon as possible.

Galápagos 05254 Royal Clumps of Real Pillow is a dried moss that can absorb a ton of water and slowly release it to boost the humidity in your tank. It is perfect for amphibians and other high humidity pets as it keeps them evenly moist. If allowed to soak, it may mould and should be dried out as soon as possible. Customer Experience and Reception: Some customers found that the moss had an artificial look due to the green dye, and it bled really bad. Some complained about the funny smell that wouldn't go away, while others liked the uneven terrain it provided for their pets. Some customers found it perfect for building terrariums, while others found that it was not what they expected and that the moss pieces were very dusty. Customers who used it in a tarantula tank found it perfect, but those who used it in a pacman frog tank found it neon in colour and saw a lot of transfer in their coco fibre and water dish.
